Despite Protests, Majority Of Americans Support Trump’s Actions On Immigration Moratorium

Despite a full-fledged freakout by the Left, most Americans support President Trump’s actions to temporarily suspend immigrants from terror-prone nations.

Trump Keep America Safe

You wouldn’t know it by recent news coverage, but the majority of Americans actually support President Donald Trump’s actions to issue a 90-day moratorium suspending immigration from seven nations that are prone to terrorism.

Although media coverage over the weekend focused on the open-borders Left’s gnashing of teeth over President Trump’s Executive Order, many Americans were too busy to care that the Left was protesting, marching, and stomping their feet over the President’s efforts to keep America safe.

Despite the protests, however, a majority of Americans surveyed support the President’s actions, according to Rasmussen.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 57% of Likely U.S. Voters favor a temporary ban on refugees from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen until the federal government approves its ability to screen out potential terrorists from coming here. Thirty-three percent (33%) are opposed, while 10% are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Similarly, 56% favor a temporary block on visas prohibiting residents of Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen from entering the United States until the government approves its ability to screen for likely terrorists. Thirty-two percent (32%) oppose this temporary ban, and 11% are undecided. [Emphasis added.]

Regardless of the fact that only a minority opposes the temporary ban, it is a well-funded and very vocal minority.

As a result, average Americans should get used to hearing about left-wing protesters’ gnashing of teeth, the protests, the marches and the endless stomping of their feet.

It is likely to happen every time President Trump does something that makes America great again.
