A petition on Change.org has is asking President Trump to declare ANTIFA a terrorist organization. Have you signed?
Since last year’s election of President Donald Trump, many Americans have watched a formerly little known group of black-clad protesters commit acts of vandalism and violence.
To combat this form of political violence, a petition on Change.org asking President Donald Trump to declare AntiFa a terrorist organization has gained nearly 87,000 signatures.
“Terrorism is, in its broadest sense, the use of intentionally indiscriminate violence as a means to create terror or fear, in order to achieve a political, religious, or ideological aim,” the petition states. “ANTIFA have demonstrated time and time again that they’re more than willing and able to fill these criteria.”
“We’re asking that the president formally declare ANTIFA a domestic terror organization,” it declares.
Although there are nearly 87,000 signatures, in order for it to be delivered to the President, it needs to have 150,000—or 63,000 more signatures.
